Terrorist attack at mosque in Islamabad: Tajik President sends condolence to President, PM

ISLAMABAD: President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon has expressed deep sorrow and solidarity with Pakistan following a devastating terrorist attack at a mosque in Islamabad that left many people dead and injured.

In a telegram sent to Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Tajik leader conveyed heartfelt condolences over the tragic loss of life.

“I ask Almighty God for mercy and forgiveness for the deceased, and wish all the injured a full recovery,” President Rahmon said.

He strongly condemned the attack, describing it as a cruel act of terrorism, and reaffirmed Tajikistan’s firm stance against all forms of extremism.

“Tajikistan, while strongly condemning this brutal terrorist act and, as always, all manifestations of terrorism, consistently emphasizes the need for a relentless fight against this evil,” the message added.

The attack has drawn condemnation from leaders across the region, as Pakistan continues efforts to combat militant violence and ensure public safety.
