133 terrorists killed in Balochistan operations over two days: ISPR
- Military's media wing says terrorists carried out attacks in several districts to disrupt peace and development in the province
Pakistan’s security forces killed at least 92 terrorists during large-scale clearance operations across Balochistan on January 31, following multiple attacks targeting civilians and security personnel, the military’s media wing said on Friday.
In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the attacks were carried out in several districts, including Quetta, Mastung, Nushki, Dalbandin, Kharan, Panjgur, Tump, Gwadar, and Pasni, to disrupt peace and development in the province.
According to ISPR, terrorists targeted civilians in Gwadar and Kharan districts, killing 18 people, including women, children, elderly individuals, and labourers.
Security forces and law enforcement agencies responded immediately, launching what the military described as “intense clearance and sanitisation operations” across affected areas. The ISPR said 92 terrorists, including three suicide bombers, were killed during the operations.

The military said 15 security personnel were also killed during the operations after what it described as prolonged engagements and standoffs with terrorists.
The statement added that intelligence reports indicated the attacks were planned and directed by terrorist leaders operating from outside Pakistan, who remained in contact with the attackers during the incidents.
Earlier, on January 30, security forces killed 41 terrorists in separate intelligence-based operations in Panjgur and Harnai districts. With the latest operations, the total number of terrorists killed in Balochistan over the past two days has risen to 133, according to the military.
ISPR said sanitisation operations were continuing to eliminate any remaining terrorists in the affected areas, adding that those involved in planning, facilitating, and carrying out the attacks would be brought to justice.
The military said counterterrorism operations under the national security framework would continue to eliminate what it described as foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
