ISLAMABAD: A parliamentary delegation led by National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq will visit the People’s Republic of China from January 19 to 21, 2026, at the special invitation of the Chairman of China’s National People’s Congress (NPC), Zhao Leji.

The visit marks the first state-level and maiden official trip of the Pakistani Parliament in 2026 to the friendly neighbor, coinciding with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China—a milestone reflecting the enduring and time-tested partnership between the two countries.

In recognition of this historic occasion, Pakistan and China have agreed to commemorate the anniversary in a befitting and meaningful manner through the organization of a series of joint events throughout the year. The Parliamentary Delegation led by Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq will hold meetings with the parliamentary and political leadership of China, focusing on strengthening parliamentary cooperation and further deepening bilateral ties.

Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, Romina Khurshid Alam; the Convenor of the Pakistan–China Parlia-mentary Friendship Group, MNA Muhammad Numan, Parliamentary Secretary, Zeb Jaffar; and MNA Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidery are part of Pakistani Parliamentary delegation led by Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq.
