KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Local Government, Housing and Town Planning, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, on Saturday visited various areas of the city, along with the MD Water Board, MD Solid Waste Management Board, PD Mega Projects, and KDA and KWSC officers.
The Minister expressed resentment over the performance of KWSC and SSWMB. He issued directives that drainage and cleaning work be done on an emergency basis. He also instructed that road restoration work be carried out immediately and manhole covers be fixed without delay. No negligence will be tolerated. He said that for the restoration of Karachi’s grandeur, every citizen must play their role beyond political affiliation.
The Minister said that the tragic deaths of innocent children falling into open manholes are heartbreaking, all relevant departments and institutions are responsible for this.
