ISLAMABAD: Islamabad, Rawapindi, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Swat and Balochistan other parts of the country received rain and snowfall.

The Quetta valley and several towns and cities across Balochistan received the first winter rainfall, ending a prolonged dry spell and bringing much-needed relief to growers facing drought-like conditions.

Pishin, Kalat, Ziarat, Mustung, Zhob received rain, which ended the dry weather.

Azad Kashmir and the Neelum Valley also received rain.

Snowfall was also reported from Swat, Kalam, and Mahudand. After the snowfall large number of tourists reached Kalam.

The Met Office further predicted that snowfall is expected in mountainous areas and rain in plains for the next two days.

Snowfall has started in the mountains in various upper areas of Azad Kashmir, including Muzaffarabad. After a long drought, rain fell in Muzaffarabad and many other areas.

Snowfall continues on the mountains of Pirchanasi, Koh Makra, and Koh Pirhasi Mar in Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Haveli Bagh, Sindhuati.

Visibility was somewhat affected due to increased humidity. The Met Office advised the citizens not to travel unnecessarily and to adopt precautionary measures.

Dense fog already gripped Karachi, and the residents are experiencing a drop in cold temperatures.

The Met Office recorded 17 degrees centigrade, and Karachi became the third most polluted city in the world with 228 percent.
