MPR meeting held at FTO HQs

Published Updated

ISLAMABAD: The 84th overall Monthly Performance Review (MPR) meeting and the 50th “Golden Jubilee” MPR during the tenure of Federal Tax Ombudsman Dr Asif Mahmood Jah was held at the FTO Headquarters.

FTO Adviser Dr Arslan Sabtgeen conducted the proceedings and briefed the advisors in detail on the performance of the Federal Tax Ombudsman Secretariat, also presenting the monthly performance report of the Advisors.

In his presidential remarks, Dr Asif Mahmood Jah thanked all Advisors who had travelled from far-flung regions to attend the event. He recalled that when he assumed office on September 29, 2021, he was informed that only two officials prepared the MPR each month. However, from October 2021 to 2024, the MPRs continued regularly and consistently. “By the 47th MPR, I felt it might be the last one of my tenure – but today, in December 2025, through the collective efforts of all Advisors, we are successfully conducting the 50th MPR,” he said.

Dr Jah praised the hard-working Advisors, noting that they work diligently from morning till evening. He shared that the Finance Minister of Bangladesh recently visited the Secretariat and expressed the desire to develop a similar model in his country after witnessing the FTO’s performance.

He added that the internship program had been strengthened through the efforts of Almas Jovindah, while school, college, and particularly law students were actively engaged, helping amplify the FTO’s outreach.
