Gold prices in Pakistan decreased on Thursday in line with their loss in the international market. In the local market, gold price per tola reached Rs441,462 after a decline of Rs1,700 during the day.
Similarly, 10-gram gold was sold at Rs378,482 after it fell by Rs1,457, according to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Wednesday, gold price per tola reached Rs444,162 after a decline of Rs2,700 during the day.
The international rate of gold declined by $17 to reach $4,191 per ounce (with a premium of $20).
Meanwhile, the price of silver also decreased by Rs85 to reach Rs6,000 per tola.
Moreover, international gold dipped on Thursday as investors booked profits and turned cautious ahead of next week’s U.S. Federal Reserve meeting, awaiting data for clearer cues on the central bank’s interest rate outlook.
Spot gold slipped 0.5% at $4,179.71 per ounce, as of 0617 GMT. U.S. gold futures for December delivery were down 0.5% at $4,210.20 per ounce.
