KARACHI. Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation has clarified its position on the unfortunate incident of fall of a child into a drain in front of a shopping mall near Gulshan-e-Iqbal NIPA Bridge. Every incident involving human loss is unfortunate, KW&SC Spokesman regretted.
He said that there is no Water Corporation’s system at the place where the unfortunate incident took place. There is neither a sewage line nor a manhole of Water Corporation at the scene. He said that the maintenance, repair and cleaning of storm drains is not within the jurisdiction of Water Corporation.
