LAHORE: The Vice-Chancellor of Fatima Jinnah Medical University, Prof Dr Khalid Masood Gondal, said on Thursday that Pakistan’s healthcare landscape is rapidly evolving, and young health professionals are at the forefront of this transformation.
“High-quality education and strong professional training provide the basis for a dependable healthcare future,” he said while speaking at the 10th integrated convocation of the NUR-Fatima Memorial System.
The event brought together graduates of the School of Health Sciences, including FMH College of Medicine & Dentistry, Saida Waheed FMH College of Nursing, and FMH Institute of Allied Health Sciences.
A total of 753 students graduated across the MBBS, BDS, Nursing, and Allied Health Sciences programmes.
The chief guest Prof Dr Nadia Naseem, Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University of Health Sciences, highlighted the essential role of well-trained young professionals in strengthening Pakistan’s healthcare delivery system.
She emphasized that institutions committed to ethics, academic excellence, and professional competence laid the foundation for a resilient health sector.
Chairperson of the NUR-Fatima Memorial System, Shahima Rehman, reaffirmed the institution’s mission of developing skilled healthcare professionals who embody compassion, service, and social responsibility. “Our graduates reflect the success of our mission,” she stated.
NUR-FMS’s Senior Technical Advisor, Maha Rehman, highlighted the institution’s academic standards, training frameworks, and commitment to preparing patient-centered and ethically grounded health professionals.
Principal of the School of Health Sciences (NUR-FMS), Prof Dr Tayyab Abbas, appreciated the hard work of students, faculty, and parents, noting that this milestone marks the beginning of their professional journey.
