“How do you define high level?”
“It depends on the context, for example if the Chief Executive Officer of any company is in attendance then that’s a high level.”
“OK, so if the man who owns the donkey cart is selling, I don’t know, oranges then that too must be high level right?”
“But not if he is selling bananas.”
“What?”
“A joke, my friend, a joke. You have heard of the expression going bananas.”
“Hmmmmm.”
“Why the solemn face?”
“Well, I just wanted to know what high level meant in a high level context if you will.”
“How high?”
“That reminds me of the oft cited directive from a high level person saying jump and the other one asks how high.”
“Right, but my question to you is if the Prime Minister, the highest civilian office holder in the country, heads a meeting or say is part of a delegation then does that automatically make it a high level meeting or delegation?”
“You are talking Pakistan, right?”
“Don’t go there.”
“It’s important because each country has its own rules and regulations and…”
“OK so yes I am talking Pakistan, and I am talking Shehbaz Sharif.”
“So my response is that a delegation could be more high level with the addition of some key office holders and…”
“The Foreign Office has issued a press release saying that a high level delegation is going to Bahrain and the Prime Minister will be, I am not sure if it states he is heading it but…”
“Shut up.”
“So, who do you think…”
“If it’s a Foreign Office press release, then I would assume that the Deputy Prime Minister would definitely be part of the delegation.”
“Oh no, I wanted to invite him for a meena bazaar, he does attend…”
“Sorry, not this time.”
