LAHORE: Punjab Local Government Minister Zeeshan Rafique has announced that 443 villages across 10 divisions of Punjab will be transformed into model villages, and the development work is set to begin in 224 of these villages from mid-December.
“The first phase of the Model Village Programme will be completed in 10 months and is expected to benefit 3.4 million people,” he stated during a meeting on Wednesday where he reviewed the Chief Minister’s Model Village Programme. Officials from the Punjab Rural Municipal Services Company (PRMSC) provided a briefing during this meeting.
