Pakistan’s javelin throw sensation and Olympic gold medalist, Arshad Nadeem, defended his Islamic Solidarity Games’ gold medal in men’s Javelin.
Nadeem opened his final with a solid 75.44m throw, immediately moving to the top of the leaderboard.
His best of the day came on his second attempt, an impressive 83.05m that strengthened his position, followed by an 82.48m throw.
In the later rounds, he managed 77.06m on his fourth try, while his fifth attempt was declared invalid. He wrapped up his series with a final throw of 77.98m.
“Alhamdulillah, grateful to bring home another gold for Pakistan!” the athlete wrote on social media X.
“Still working hard to get back to 100% after surgery, but the hunger to win remains! More to come in the next tournaments.”
Meanwhile, Muhammad Yasir, secured the silver medal with his top effort of 76.04m, delivered on his sixth and final attempt.
The battle for second place was tight between Yasir and Nigeria’s Samuel Adams Kure, who produced a 76.01m throw in his fifth attempt.
Yasir responded in the final round, edging past Kure by a narrow margin to claim the runner-up spot.
