ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUF) chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman has directed the party’s Members of the National Assembly (MNAs) to vote against the 27th amendment.
According to JUI spokesperson Aslam Ghouri, the JUI Chief on Tuesday said that a constitutional amendment was presented before the National Assembly and that the matter had earlier been discussed in a meeting of the parliamentary party.
He said the JUI-F had decided to oppose the amendment after considering all its aspects.
The party’s MNAs had been instructed to vote against it. As the JUI-F chief and parliamentary leader in the National Assembly, Rahman issued formal directions to all members of his party in the House.
