KARACHI: The Karachi Port Trust handled 188,893 tonnes of cargo comprising 131,646 tonnes of import cargo and 57,247 tonnes of export cargo during last 48 hours ending at 0700 hours.
The total import cargo of 131,646 comprised of 107,401 tonnes of Containerized Cargo, 10,481 tonnes of Bulk Cargo & 13,764 tonnes of Oil & Liquid Cargo.
The total export Cargo of 57,247 comprised of 57,663 tonnes of Containerized Cargo & 184 tonnes of Bulk Cargo.
Approximately, 09 ships namely, Gsl Nicoletta, Ital Universo, Al Soor I I, Hyundai Premium, Apl Phoenix, Zhong Gu Fu Zhou, Source Blessing, Sparna & Taokas Wisdom berthed at Karachi Port Trust.
Around, 09 ships namely Wawasan Topaz, Wan Hai 625, Contship Ono, Jolly Rosa, Feng He Hai, Msc Alexa, Gsl Nicoletta & Hyundai Premium sailed from Karachi Port Trust.
PORT QASIM
A total of eleven ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them two ships, Maersk Saratoga and Marangas Asclepius left the port on today morning while five more ships, Magma Fidelity, SKY Dweller, Ocean Pioneer, Xin Hai Tong and MSC Alexa are expected to sail on Monday afternoon.
Cargo volume of 184,793 tonnes, comprising 137,381 tonnes imports cargo and 47,412 tonnes export cargo carried in 4,087 Containers (1,513 TEUs Imports& 2,574 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 04 ships at Outer Anchorage of Port Qasim, out of them four ships, Sweet Judi, Sea Luck-III, Clipper Eris and Butinah & two more ships, Elim Grace/Canopus and Lotus-A scheduled load/offload Rice, Condensed, Chemicals, Coal, Palm oil and Containers are expected to take berths at MW2, FOTCO, EVTL, PIBT, LCT and QICT respectively on Monday 29th July, Meanwhile another containers ships ‘Appollon-D’ is due to arrive at port on Tuesday 30th July, 2024 .
