KARACHI: Gold prices on Friday slumped on the local market but silver stood its ground, traders said.

Gold lost Rs1900 to Rs220900 per tola and Rs1629 to Rs189386 per 10 grams.

On the world market, gold prices stood for $2090 per ounce, added further with a $20 premium by thr local market bullion trade.

Silver was traded for Rs2680 per tola and Rs2297.66 per 10 grams. International silver price was quoted as $23.90 per ounce, traders said.
