BEIJING: Tesla on Friday launched its new megapack battery manufacturing project in Shanghai, according to Chinese state media.

A signing ceremony for land acquisition of the project, capable of producing 10,000 megapacks per annum, was held on Friday morning in Shanghai, the official Xinhua News Agency reported.
