Administrator says solving industrialists’ problems top priority

KARACHI: Administrator of Korangi District Muhammad Sharif has said that his administration is committed to making the Korangi zone clean and green and undertaking infrastructure and development works in the Korangi Industrial Area under Public-Private Partnership.

Speaking at a meeting of the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI), he said solving the problems of the business community is his administration’s top priority.

KATI has already played a key role in highlighting the problems faced by the industrialists as well as the general public in Karachi, the country’s financial hub, said Muhammad Sharif.

In the past too industrial organisations have played their role, along with the local administrations, for the development of Karachi. He welcomed the proposals given by members of KATI for the development of the city.

KATI President Faraz-ur-Rehman gave the administrator a detailed introduction to the Korangi Industrial Area and informed him of its many problems. He said that industrialisation is the basic need of the country because without industrial development neither can the economy be strong nor the country.

He said that KATI and KITE will continue to work for the development of the industrial area and the improvement of its infrastructure.

The KATI president expressed the hope that Muhammad Sharif will make Korangi Industrial Zone the best such zone in coordination with his association.

Deputy Patron-in-Chief of KATI Zubair Chhaya said that the former deputy commissioner and administrator of Korangi fully supported efforts to bring about improvements in the Korangi Industrial Area and making it an ideal district of the city.

He added that KATI will support the new administrator in taking further steps for the betterment of the area.
