ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has received nearly 3 million income tax returns (upto December 15) for tax year 2022 against 3.6 million returns filed during the whole of last fiscal year.
According to the sources, so far 2.93 million returns have been filed for the tax year 2022. Last financial year, 3.6 million returns were filed.
The number of income tax return filers for tax year 2020 had crossed 3.0 million.
