TDAP organises seminar on awareness about slaughtering and skin processing
QUETTA: Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), organised a seminar on “Slaughtering and skin processing awareness session in the perspective of modern industry and international requirements to export fresh meat and poultry” held on 15th June at Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI).
The purpose of the seminar was to create awareness among meat and poultry business community regarding the exports opportunities in production from the province and modern slaughter housing practices.
In his welcome address, Amjad, VP QCCI, Quetta appreciated mandate and role of TDAP in order to increase the exports from the country. Honorary guest Dr Azam Kakar, Director Livestock, GOB appreciated the initiative of TDAP, and emphasised on the importance of such activities.
Zain-ul-Abideen, GSP officer, TDAP, Quetta gave a presentation regarding export potential of meat and poultry from the country. Zaheer Mastoi, In-charge MCQ Slaughterhouse Quetta, in his presentation highlighted the modern techniques of slaughter housing and issues faced by business community and their possible solutions.
