KARACHI: Prices maintained firm trend on the cotton market on Monday amid improved activity during the day.
Cotton Analyst Naseem Usman told Business Recorder the rate of cotton in Sindh is in between Rs 13300 to Rs 13400 per maund. The rate of cotton in Punjab is in between Rs 13600 to Rs 13700 per maund.
The rate of the new crop of Phutti in Sindh was in between Rs 5400 to Rs 5800 per 40 kg. The rate of Phutti in Punjab is in between Rs 5600 to Rs 6300 per 40 Kg. The rate of Banola in Sindh is in between Rs 1700 to Rs 1800 per maund. The rate of Banola in Punjab is in between Rs 1700 to Rs 1850 per maund. The rate of cotton in Balochistan is Rs 13300 to Rs 13400 per maund. The rate of Phutti in Balochistan is Rs 5800- 6300 per maund.
Some 3200 bales of Shahdad Pur were sold in between Rs 13200 to Rs 13400 per maund, 4000 bales of Tando Adam were sold in between Rs 13275 to Rs 13400 per maund, 3800 bales of Sanghar were sold at Rs 13250 to Rs 13350 per maund, 1400 bales of Khadro were sold at Rs 13300 to Rs 13400 per maund, 800 bales of Gupchani were sold at Rs 13300 to Rs 13400 per maund, 1400 bales of Nawab Shah were sold in between 13275 to Rs 13375 per maund, 200 bales of Lodhran, 200 bales of Burewala and 200 bales of Hasil Pur were sold at Rs 13700 per maund, 400 bales of Chichawatni and 400 bales of Vehari were sold at Rs 13650 to Rs 13700 per maund and 200 bales of Kasowal were sold at Rs 13650 per maund.
The Spot Rate remained unchanged at Rs 13400 per maund.
The rate of Polyester fiber increased by Rs 2 per kg and was available at Rs 222 per kg.
