LESCO delays industrial connections

LAHORE: Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has delayed industrial connections due to shortage of Time of Unit meters, said sources.

According to sources, a good number of ToU meters have already become dysfunctional because of faulty batteries.

Most of these meters had been procured back in 2015.

They said these meters were procured in large quantity because of cheap availability.

But most of them are showing a display wash when the field staff of various divisions had installed them to different locations.

These meters are installed at shopping plazas and malls receiving power supply from 400 kV transformers.
