KARACHI: Federal B Area Association of Trade and Industry (FBATI) has termed the announcement by the State Bank of Pakistan to waive the cash margin ban on imports of certain items to facilitate industries as a positive step. Recently, the State Bank has announced to waive cash margin restriction on import of certain items to facilitate the industries.
Reacting to the decision, Muhammad Ali, President of the Federal B Area Association of Trade and Industry, said that waiving the condition of 100 percent cash margin on import of 11 items would bring relief to the industrialists.
Idris Gigi, a member of FBATI's executive committee, said the process would not only boost industrial activity but also make it easier for industrialists to rollover cash.
