ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi said Muslims need to move along with the fast pace of science and technology, if they had to pull themselves out of the miseries as being witnessed in Kashmir, Palestine, and Rohingya.

The president expressed these views while addressing the inaugural session of the Global Al-Farabi Forum in Islamabad on Monday at the COMSTECH secretariat.

The two-day symposium was held to celebrate the contributions of great Muslim philosopher and scientist Abu Nasr Al-Farabi on his 1,150th birth anniversary, jointly organised by the governments of Pakistan and Kazakhstan.

He said the future looks to Muslims but they need to work hard and ensure that the people are educated and healthy.

Emphasizing on a combination of morality and knowledge for Muslims to grow in the world, the president said that the world was not looking for morality but Muslims were looking for morality, and they could bring about a change with the strength of ethics and knowledge.
