India is a perpetrator of state-terrorism in IIOJK, elsewhere; cannot advise others on the issue: FO

  • FO said India's fabricated accusations do not turn falsehood into truth.

Pakistan rejected on Friday India's gratuitous remarks on the state of minorities in Pakistan and said that it is in no position to pontificate on the issue of terrorism and minority rights elsewhere.

On Thursday, the Spokesperson of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs Anurag Srivastava said that the death of an Ahmadi man in Peshawar 'is a sad reflection of the state of minorities in Pakistan'.

In a statement on Friday, Foreign Office (FO) Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri said that India is in no position to talk about minorities when the neighbor itself is a perpetrator of unabated state-terrorism of its own minorities, as well as the Indian Illegally-Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK).

The FO said India's fabricated accusations do not turn falsehood into truth. India's desperate attempts will not succeed in diverting attention from India’s domestic failures, rather 'it will further undermine India’s credibility as a responsible country', FO further said.

Pakistan called on India to avoid the use of state-terrorism as an instrument of state policy and end its violations of human rights in IIOJK. It also called on India to take concrete steps to safeguard the minorities including their right to life and protection of their places of worship.
