LOWER DIR: At least three members of a family were killed and five children injured in firing of unidentified armed men on a vehicle here on Saturday, police said.
According to details, unknown gunmen sprayed bullets at a fielder car bearing registration number AK-2647 in Shah Alam Baba Sarai area of Lower Dir.
As a result of firing, three family members including Wahab, his wife and son Wajid were killed on the spot while Sumera 02, Hajira 04, Shaista 10, Mehran 03, and Wahid Shah 07, were critically injured. The assailant fled the scene of the crime.
The bodies and injured were shifted to THQ Hospital Chakdara where they the injured were referred to Swat.
The police registered a case against unidentified attackers and started an investigation.
