NCOC launches Whatsapp number to register COVID-19 SOP violations

  • As part of the service, people can report any violations like non wearing of mask, non-adherence to social distancing and over-crowding at public places

(Karachi) The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) launched a Whatsapp number for registration of COVID-19 related violations by the public, Radio Pakistan reported on Friday.

As part of the service, people can report any violations related to COVID-19 SOPs like non wearing of mask, non-adherence to social distancing, over-crowding at public places etc.

Those reporting violations have been advised to take a picture and brief account of violation and send it to 03353336262 (0335333NCOC) along with the details of location name, Tehsil/district/city, date and time and the event.

Earlier, the NCOC, in collaboration with Digital Pakistan, launched a helpline to support and facilitate frontline health workers — including doctors, paramedics and other medical workers — in the fight against coronavirus.

Through the launched helpline, a complaint management system will direct the complaints to NCOC and the relevant provincial authority will inform complainants about the required action.

The government's initiative helped ensure the availability of blood as well as COVID-19 plasma, as regular blood drives across the country are on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.
