Police say an explosive device was planted in a motorcycle that exploded causing damage to one car and several motorcycles
Updated 25 Oct 2020

(Karachi) At least four people were killed while several others suffered injuries after a bomb exploded in Quetta, ARY News has reported.

Police said that the blast took place within Shalkot police station limits. It added that an explosive device was planted in a motorcycle that exploded causing damage to one car and several motorcycles.

Meanwhile, security officials and law enforcement personnel have reached the site and cordoned of the area.

Earlier, the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) issued warning that the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) could target the country’s political and religious leadership in Peshawar and Quetta.

A letter written to security agencies stated, "Reportedly, the terrorist plan includes assassination of high-profile political personalities through a well-articulated bomb/blast suicide bombing in near future.”
