Google shuts down Google Play Music
- Google Play Music’s Android app is finally shutting down for some users.
- Users can now transfer and access their data on YouTube Music.
It is time to say goodbye to the Google Play Music app. Google has finally shut down its Google Play Music app which despite being a favourite of many was widely unused.
Many users have reported that the app has become inaccessible and users can no longer buy tunes from the Play Music Store. Although Google had planned the global shutdown of this service by the end of the year, an earlier shutdown is already in progress.
Google is trying to push users to migrate to Youtube Music. It is also giving the option of easily transferring your library to this successor service. Users can move or delete your recommendation history and existing purchases to YouTube Music for a limited period of time.
All you need to do is download the YouTube Music app on your phones and click the transfer button inside the interface. The whole process will only take a few seconds or up to a few days to complete.

However, YouTube Music is not available in all regions as yet. Pakistan does not have access to Youtube Music as well. Hence, users in Pakistan and other such regions can download their music library and use their default music app to listen to their favourite songs while this transition is completed.
