Met office issues smog alert

LAHORE: The Met office has issued smog alert, saying that air quality would remain hazardous, starting from Wednesday evening till Saturday evening.

Meanwhile, weather remained hot throughout Wednesday with maximum temperature of 36 Celsius with plenty of sunshine. The Met office sources pointed out that so far as the current air quality is concerned, health effects are likely to be immediately felt by sensitive groups. Healthy individuals may experience difficulty breathing and throat irritation with prolonged exposure.

They have advised to limit outdoor activity.
