PQA clarification

KARACHI: PQA clarifies that on 14th of October 2020, an anti-encroachment drive was conducted by Sindh government officials in the area of Port Qasim Authority. These officials included Assistant Commissioner Bin Qasim Town (Manshad Shahani), Mukhtiarkar (Farhan Jatoi), SHO Anti-encroachment(Sub Inspector Rao) and SHO of Bin Qasim Town police station (Sub lnsp Awais) who were present along with more than 10 ladies police constables and about 80 male police constables of anti-encroachment Sindh police.

This anti-encroachment drive was conducted against illegal occupants on the request of owner company of the said land, "Zaver Enterprises". It is noteworthy that these illegal occupants lost the case of possession in Sindh High Court and were also charged an amount of Rs 25000 for fake documents.

The drive started without any resistance, however, after some time, the occupants ignited fire in nearby bushes which was controlled and put out by PQA fire brigade.-PR
