12 security personnel martyred in two attacks in Ormara, NW

As per Radio Pakistan, as many as six security personnel embraced martyrdom in a militant attack on a convoy of state-run Oil & Gas Development Company Ltd (OGDCL) on the Makran Coastal Highway in Ormara, Balochistan.

The security personnel lost their lives when terrorists opened fire on them on the highway in Gwadar.

Security forces cordoned off the area and started a search operation, the report said.

Meanwhile in a separate incident, six Pakistan army personnel including captain were martyred in a landmine blast in North Waziristan.

As per ISPR, the blast occurred in a landmine near Rizmik. It stated that those who embraced martyrdom were identified as 24-year-old Captain Umar Farooq, Naib Subedar Younus Khan, Naib Subedar Riaz Ahmed, Naib Subedar Shakeel Azad, Naik Muhammad Nadeem and Lance Naik Asmatullah.

On October 14, a soldier was martyred after terrorists from across the Afghan border opened fire on a Pakistan Army post of security forces in Bajaur tribal district.

In a tweet, Director-General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Babar Iftikhar said due to the firing, Havaldar Tanveer embraced martyrdom while one soldier was injured.
