KARACHI: On Wednesday, after market closing, Pakistan Rupee displayed gain in value against USD in both interbank and open markets. In the open market, it also gained value against Euro, AED and SR.
INTER-BANK MARKET RATES: In the interbank market, Pakistan Rupee gained 55 paisas for buying and 40 paisas for selling against USD over yesterday's rates closing at 163.20 and 163.45 respectively.
OPEN MARKET RATES: In the open market, PKR gained 85 paisas for buying and 60 paisas for selling over yesterday's rates closing at 163.20 and 163.70 respectively.
Against Euro, PKR gained one rupee for both buying and selling closing at 190.50 and 192 respectively.
Against UAE Dirham, PKR gained 10 paisas for both buying and selling closing at 44.30 and 44.55 respectively.
Against Saudi Riyal, PKR gained 20 paisas for buying and 15 paisas for selling closing at 43.15 and 43.35 respectively.

RUPEE IN LAHORE: The Pak rupee moved both ways by 10 paisas in relation to the American dollar in the local currency market on Wednesday.
Following divergent buyers' interest in the market, the dollar moved both ways by 10 paisas and closed for buying and selling at Rs 163.40 and Rs 164.40 against the overnight closing rate of Rs 163.50 and Rs 164.30 respectively, local currency dealers said.
On the other hand, the rupee witnessed a significant gain in its worth in the process of trading against the pound sterling. Consequently, the pound's buying and selling rates declined from the Tuesday's closing of Rs 212.00 and Rs 215.00 to Rs 210.20 and Rs 211.50 respectively, they added.
RUPEE IN ISLAMABAD AND RAWALPINDI: The rupee remained firm against the dollar at the open currency markets of Islamabad and Rawalpindi here on Wednesday.
The dollar opened at Rs164.30(buying) and Rs164.40(selling) against same last rate.
It closed at Rs164.30(buying) and Rs164.40(selling).
The buying and selling rates of one tola of gold was Rs. 115,300(selling) and Rs115,100(buying) at the local Sarafa (gold) markets of twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
