ISLAMABAD: In an announcement on Twitter earlier today, the Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari, officially launched the Zainab Alert application, which will aim to report, recover, and support victims of child abuse and kidnapping; which according to the minister, is already in connectivity throughout the country.
The Zainab Alert application is on par with similar systems being used around the world, including the Amber Alert system in the United States, which will provide real-time data to police officials, in order to expedite any case pertaining to child abuse and kidnapping, and to ensure the speedy reporting of such cases.
Furthermore, this will also facilitate the creation of a comprehensive database across the country, which can also be used in tandem with other child welfare organizations, to ensure that cases are resolved effectively and quickly - and will be functioning in collaboration with the Prime Minister's Performance Delivery Unit (PMDU).
