LAHORE: Punjab has reported 128 fresh corona cases and six deaths taking the provincial tally to 100,892 and 2258, respectively. With recovery of 14 more patients, the total number of recovered patients has reached 96,959. During the last 24 hours, 10,453 tests were conducted.
UHS Vice Chancellor Dr Javed Akram has feared rise in coronavirus cases during winter amid transmission of all viral diseases. "In developing countries, like Pakistan, the situation worsens because the people cannot afford heaters and warm clothes," he said. "Since many people stay in single room, the chances of the virus spreading increases compared to summer." Dr Akram said: "I suggest people continue wearing masks and using sanitisers."
