KARACHI: The Met Office on Thursday forecast mainly dry weather for the most parts of the country in the next 24 hours. But, it said, the hot weather is likely to prevail on the in plain areas during the day. "Continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country," the Met said.

In the past 24 hours, hot and dry weather prevailed over most parts of the country. The day's highest temperature was recorded in Turbat 42 degrees Celsius Shaheed Benazirabad and Mithi 39, each.
