Opposition parties lack public support, says Rasheed

  • Minister says the PM will complete his term and will not give NRO to those involved in corruption at any cost

(Karachi) Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has said that opposition parties lack public support and Prime Minister Imran Khan will complete his term.

Speaking at a ceremony in Islamabad on Monday, he said that the PM will not give NRO to those involved in corruption at any cost. He added that the corrupt elements will go to jail and pay for their deeds.

Regarding the Karachi Circular Railway project, he mentioned the mega scheme will be completed in three phases. "Railway Carriage Factory Islamabad will play an important role in ensuring completion of Karachi Circular Railway project."

The minister said the Main Line One railway project will prove to be an important milestone in development of railway in the country.

He said efforts are being made for betterment of the railways employees and steps are being taken to ensure regular payment to the pensioners of Pakistan Railways.
