There is a fear onset of winter could result in second wave of coronavirus, tweets PM

(Karachi) Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that there is a fear onset of winter could result in second wave of coronavirus.

In a tweet on Sunday, Imran said: "Compared to some other states, Allah has been kind to us in Pak & spared us worst effects of COVID-19."

The PM urged the people to wear face masks in public to avoid increase in COVID-19 cases. "All offices & educational institutions must ensure masks are worn," he stated.

There has been a resurgence of coronavirus cases across the country. It has prompted the authorities to place several virus hotspots under micro smart lockdown for two weeks.

At least six people died of coronavirus during the last 24 hours across the country taking the tally of total number of casualties from the disease to 6,513. The most number of cases were reported in Sindh with 138,050 patients followed by Punjab with more than 99,812 cases. Similarly, 37, 973 coronavirus cases surfaced in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, 16, 766 in Islamabad and 15,371 in Balochistan.
