LAHORE: As many as 126 corona positive cases and two deaths were reported across the province Punjab during the last 24 hours taking the provincial tally of total cases to 99,605 and 2,237 deaths so far. Out of total positive cases, 95,687 have recovered while 180 were recovered during the last 24 hours. During this period, 12,184 tests were conducted taking the tally of tests so far conducted across Punjab to 1263117 tests.
Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said in a statement that positive results have been witnessed due to effective anti-corona measures in the province. According to him, the Punjab government succeeded in countering coronavirus to a large extent as compared to other provinces. Violation of corona SOPs will not be tolerated in educational institutions. He said that opposition rendered only lip-service during the corona epidemic and failed to do anything practically.
