US stocks open down after Trump Covid-19 diagnosis, jobs data

NEW YORK: Wall Street stocks fell early Friday following a disappointing US jobs report and the bombshell news that President Donald Trump tested positive for coronavirus.
A couple of minutes into trading, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 1.2 percent at 27,485.51.
The broad-based S&P 500 shed 1.4 percent to 3,334.70, while the tech-rich Nasdaq Composite Index fell 1.7 percent to 11,128.88.
