ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has enhanced duty drawback rates on the export of leather articles and garments from September 28, 2020.

The FBR has amended standard duty drawback notification SRO210(I)/2009 through an SRO.930(I)/2020 issued here on Wednesday. According to the notification, the FBR has enhanced duty drawback rates on the export of leather items specified in the Schedule-I of the SRO210(I)/2009.

The duty drawback has been increased from 0.80 percent of the f.o.b. value to 1.78 percent of the FOB value on the export of finished leather of goat or sheep or kangaroo skin.

The duty drawback would be 0.99 percent of the FOB value on the export of leather articles and made-up.

The duty drawback has been increased from 2.07 percent of the f.o.b. value to 4.49 percent of the FOB value on the export of leather chair (made of cow/buffalo/sheep/goat upholstery leather) with or without foam. The duty drawback has been increased from 1.28 percent of the f.o.b. value to 2.91 percent of the FOB value on the export of leather foot rest (made of cow/buffalo/sheep/goat upholstery leather) with or without foam.
