ISLAMABAD: Abdul Waheed has been elected Chairman Pakistan Vanaspati Manufacturers Association (PVMA) for the year 2020-21.
Raza Ibrahim and Rafiullah were also unanimously elected Senior Vice Chairman and Vice Chairman respectively. Tariq Ullah Sufi, Abid Ali Malik, Sh Atif Rasheed, Fayyaz Zafar, Ahmad Ghulamhussain, Sh. Kashif Razzaq, Umer Rehan, Sh. Khalid Islam and Haji Muhammad Akhtar were elected as members of the Executive Committee for the year 2020-2022.
Arif Qasim, Chief Election Commissioner, PVMA announced the final results at 77th Annual General Meeting of the Association at a local hotel of Islamabad. The Executive Committee and Members of PVMA congratulated.
Abdul Waheed and hoped that being a veteran, seasoned and experienced person he will fully utilize his potentialities to resolve the problems being faced by the ghee/cooking oil industry.
Later, traditional annual brunch was held at a Serena Hotel, Islamabad. The function was held to bid farewell to the outgoing Chairman Atif Ikram Sheikh and welcome the incoming Chairman Abdul Waheed. Outgoing and incoming Chairmen in their speeches highlighted the challenges being faced by the industry. Abdul Waheed thanked the members for reposing confidence in him and assured to solve their problems on fast track basis.-PR
