Direct meetings with military establishment: PM bars cabinet members, bureaucrats

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has imposed ban on cabinet members and bureaucrats from holding direct meetings with the members of military establishment.

According to reports, the Cabinet Division has sent orders regarding ban on cabinet members and bureaucrat to hold meetings with military authorities.

According to the orders issued by the Cabinet Division, the Ministry of Defence should be approached for meeting, correspondence and briefing with senior military officers. The Defence Ministry will hold meetings and briefings of concerned ministers and bureaucrats as per the Rules of Business, reports said.

Earlier, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nawaz Sharif banned his party members from holding meetings with military authorities.
