KARACHI: The Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers & Exporters Association (PRGMEA) has elected Adeeb Iqbal Sheikh as North Zone Chairman for the year 2020-21.
Those who were elected as ZMC (NZ) members include Muhammad Naseer Malik, Syed Emad Raza, Sheikh Farukh Iqbal Puri, Azhar Malik, Adnan Azmat, Khawaja Naveed Azam, Khawaja Aqeel Ashraf, Irfan Mahmood and Sumaira Mushtaq.
While addressing the members, newly-elected zonal chairman PRGMEA Adeeb Iqbal vowed to promote the association to the new heights. He said that that it was an honour for him to assume the office of the North Zone Chairman for the year 2020-21.
He paid tribute to the outgoing zonal chairman Sohail A Sheikh. He said that the outgoing body in his lead had been actively promoting the interests of the Punjab textile industry throughout 2019-20.
Zonal Chairman APTMA vowed to continue with his efforts for the promotion and protection of the value-added textile industry. His top priority would be uninterrupted energy supply at regionally competitive prices to the apparel sector, resolution of tax related issues, and a favorable environment for the promotion of garment industry in Pakistan especially in Punjab.
PRGMEA Chief Coordinator Ijaz Khokhar, PRGMEA former chairman Sajid Salim Minhas, former zonal chairman Tariq Javed Fiazi and Javed Iqbal Bhatti congratulated the newly-elected ZMC members and the zonal chairman, expressing the hope that the new team headed by Adeeb Iqbal Sheikh would continue the excellent work in the best interest of the entire value-added textile sector.
