Barcelona’s Semedo completes move to Wolves
Wolves on Wednesday completed the signing of Barcelona right-back Nelson Semedo for a reported fee that could rise to £37million.
Both clubs made the official announcements on Wednesday via their social accounts.
The 26-year-old was consistently linked with a move to the Premier League club, who are looking for a replacement in the right-back position after Matt Doherty joined Tottenham.
Semedo in his farewell message to Barcelona wrote: "Thank you very much Barcelona for giving me the opportunity to live the dream of wearing this shirt, of playing in Camp Nou, of learning and enjoying the best in the world," Semedo wrote on Instagram.
"Thank you for making me grow as a player and as a person. They were three wonderful years that I will never forget.
"Thank my colleagues, staff, fans and all the people who helped me since I arrived until today. I wish you the best luck in the world.
"Eternally gratifying. Long live Barca!"
Semedo joined Barcelona in 2017 from Benfica and has made 124 appearances for the club - scoring two goals and making 11 assists.
The Lisbon-born product was a regular starter for the Catalans last season, making 24 starts in La Liga in a total of 32 appearances across the competition.
