Zimbabwe confirms limited-overs tour of Pakistan

Both teams will play three ODIs and same number of T20Is in October and November.

Zimbabwe Cricket on Wednesday officially confirmed limited-overs tour of Pakistan in October and November after getting mandatory permission from their government.

Confirming the tour in a tweet, Zimbabwe Cricket wrote: “It's official! The Government of Zimbabwe has granted Zimbabwe Cricket the permission to tour Pakistan for a limited-overs series scheduled for October-November.”

As per the schedule, the team is set to arrive in Pakistan on October 20. They will play three one-day Internationals, which are part of the inaugural ICC Cricket World Cup Super League, and same number of T20Is.

The ODIs are expected to be played between October 30 and November 3 in Multan cricket stadium, while Rawalpindi is expected to host three T20Is on November 7, 8 and 10.

Preparations are underway by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to create a bio-secure environment. The matches are likely to be played behind closed doors.

Earlier, Zimbabwe named a 25-member training squad for the tour.
