‘Siddiqui’s acquittal proves MQM-P had no link with case’

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) on Tuesday said that the party leader Rauf Siddiqui’s acquittal in Baldia Factory case “is a proof of the fact that the MQM-P had no association with the case”.

According to a statement of the party after the verdict of Baldia Factory case, the statement of the party sympathized with the heirs of the victims who had to wait eight years for the verdict to be announced.

“We hope that the higher courts ensure the speedy delivery of justice to all the victims of the tragedy,” the statement said, adding that the party would like to make clear that supporting public enemies was never a policy of the MQM-P and never will be.
