Kavkaz 2020 in Russia: Contingent of armed forces participates in opening ceremony

RAWALPINDI: A contingent of Pakistan Armed Forces participated in opening ceremony of multinational military exercise Kavkaz 2020 at Astrakhan, Russia on Saturday. Director General ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar said Kavkaz 2020 exercise is aimed at assessing ability of troops to react to various challenges and learn from each other's experiences.

The weeklong exercise will commence from Monday. India participated in this military exercise but withdraw at the last moment. Experts said that the training exercises include military and training demonstrations, participants will have the opportunity to demonstrate their advanced military hardware and technology, Pakistan last year participated in the same series of T-Center 2019.
