LAHORE: With 130 fresh Corona positive cases and one death across the province in the last 24 hours, Punjab has so far reported 98,272 Covid-19 cases and 2226 deaths so far across the province.

As per the government's Covid-19 portal, about 12,154 tests of coronavirus were conducted during the last 24 hours taking the provincial tally of tests so far conducted to 1127700.

As per data made available, with recovery of 17 more patients during the last 24 hours the provincial tally of recovered patients has reached to 94,756.

In Lahore, as many as 49,382 corona positive cases have so far been reported with 862 fatalities. In Rawalpindi, 7863 Covid-19 cases have been reported with 371 deaths so far.

Health professionals have expressed concern over non- implementation of Corona SOPs in educational institutions, restaurants and other public places. They urged the people to follow SOPs as corona threat still persists.

It may be noted that around 40 students tested positive for coronavirus in Punjab after resumption of educational activities in a phased manner.
