SECMC, HANDS Pakistan to plant 20,000 saplings in Tharparkar

HYDERABAD: Sindh Engro Coal Mining Company (SECMC) has announced collaboration with HANDS Pakistan for the plantation of 20,000 saplings across Tharparkar. In this connection, one memorandum of understanding was signed between SECMC and HANDS Pakistan whereby SECMC will provide 20,000 plants to HANDS Pakistan to increase the greening factor across Thar.

The collaboration has been done under the larger Thar Million Tree Programme initiative of SECMC and Thar Foundation to plant one million trees in Thar. With the current agreement, the total count of trees stands around 800,000.
