KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) on Thursday sought the progress report of inquiry from National Accountability Bureau (NAB) against Jam Khan Shoro, former provincial minister of Sindh and others in alleged illegal allotment of land and assets case.
A division bench of the SHC while hearing the case against Shoro and others in alleged illegal allotment of land and assets case extended their interim bail till October 19, 2020. During the hearing of the case, Shoro and other accused appeared. NAB prosecutor told the bench that regional office of NAB completed the work on removal of objections, put forward by NAB headquarter on the course of investigations.
NAB prosecutor submitted that report would be forwarded to NAB headquarter after completing the investigations against Shoro and co-accused in the case. Shoro told the court that his counsel in the case was Khalid Javed Khan, who has been appointed as Attorney General, at which court ordered him to hire the services of other lawyer by the next hearing of the case.
NAB accused Shoro and other accused for allotting land for a CNG station in Hyderabad illegally, which caused heavy losses to exchequer and submitted that it has got the proofs about allotment of land. Along with Jam Khan Shoro, Muhammad Bachal, Asghar Memon, Mohammad Hussain, Imtaiz Ali and seven others are accused in the case.
